For mod authors
Mod author policy

01 The short version
MMOP is a mod manager built by modders, for modders. We don't host your files, we don't profit from your work, and we always point users back to your page. Mods are surfaced through each platform's official API — today Modrinth and Thunderstore, with CurseForge as we onboard. If you'd rather not be listed, email us and we'll remove you, no questions asked.
02 We never host or re-host your files
Every download happens directly from the source platform's own servers (Modrinth, Thunderstore, CurseForge). MMOP never mirrors, caches, or re-serves mod files from its own infrastructure. Your download counts stay with you — which matters for your visibility and for platform rewards programs tied to downloads.
03 We always link back to your page
Every mod in MMOP shows a clear "View on Modrinth / Thunderstore / CurseForge" link to your official page. We never want MMOP to be a dead end — users should always be one click from your page for updates, feedback, and the full description you wrote.
04 We always show your donation links
If you've set a Ko-fi, Patreon, GitHub Sponsors, or other donation link on your mod, MMOP surfaces it right next to your name — not buried. Most authors make nothing from their work and many users don't realize they can give back. We put that front and center.
05 We respect every opt-out
When a platform or author marks a mod as not available for third-party download, we honor it. We don't work around the flag. Instead we show a clear message and link you straight to the official page to get it there. Your distribution choices are yours.
06 We don't monetize your work
MMOP's paid features are about the social and coordination side — modpack collaboration, the approval workflow, group management, and sync. We never charge for access to mods, never sell faster downloads, and never promote one author's mods over another's for money. Your content is never the product.
07 Questions or concerns?
